Darla D. Main helps individuals and families navigate the life changes that impact their finances.
Darla established Main Advisory, Inc., in 1989. The business was founded to provide client care, support, and respect for others. It’s all about relationships built through open conversations, personal connections and solid recommendations.
As a Certified Financial Planner®, Darla brings an advanced level of knowledge and skills to clients. She also has, at-hand, a team of well-qualified professionals to provide superior solutions with her input and direction. These affiliated professionals, include CPAs, estate and tax attorneys, fiduciaries, and casualty insurance specialists.
Darla is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®). This designation is awarded from the Center for Fiduciary Studies™ (the Center), the standards-setting body for fi360. The AIF® designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. The designation is the culmination of a rigorous training program, which includes a comprehensive, closed-book final examination under the supervision of a proctor, and agreement to abide by the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards. On an ongoing basis, completion of continuing education and adherence to the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards are required to maintain the AIF designation.
Darla actively served on the Board of Trustees for both the Institute of Certified Financial Planners-Greater Pittsburgh Society and the Financial Planning Association-Greater Pittsburgh. She held numerous positions, including President in 2011. She’s also served on delegations, traveling internationally to China and Russia.
She and her husband are the proud parents of two adult daughters and four grandsons.
Nancy Diel has never met a stranger.
She joined Main Advisory in 2015, and seamlessly fills the role of day-to-day operations. She oversees distribution requests, address changes, online access, special events and, most of all, paperwork. Nancy also manages the in-house software program for investment data.
Nancy is a graduate of Waynesburg University. She majored in accounting, with a minor in business management. She has a diverse résumé of work experience. Nancy and her husband have two children, Jake and Abby.
